Chinese New Year....another new start into 2025...

ree

"Become who you are"  Friedrich Nietzsche.

It might not be important in which way we are entering each new year.  However, it is important in which state of being we are stepping over the threshold.

Maybe we had the chance to contemplate a little while on what 2024 has brought and what we have experienced during the past year.  Some of it was surely good and some was perhaps sad and difficult.  One thing is certain, if we do enter a new year with just focusing on the outside we will find ourselves in a vulnerable state.

Every day things are "thrown in" mainly by the news, things that are keeping us in an alert, frustrating or angry state of mind.  Often this is accompanied with an inner experience of helplessness.  It is not easy to step confidently with such a feeling into a new year.  The fact is that we can do very little to change these big negative stories and yet they are shaping our value as a humanity.  Perhaps I can invite you on Chinese New Year, this Wednesday, to turn your focus inside, on ourselves, our values, our aspirations, our creativity, our wishes, our hopes and so supporting ourselves with what we would like to see and bring into the world instead.

This might not look big from the outside however, when we place our attention on our own creations and concentrate year after year on increasing our heartfelt desires (may I say dreams) we will not only become more of what we are capable of becoming, but we will gain in confidence and strength and thus shape the outer world in a very positive way.
